For Drama Teachers
Studio 13 is a library of performance scripts written for the drama class. Each script gives every student a turn in the same lead role — alone inside a charged moment from literature. Sometimes an adversary pushes against them; sometimes the moment just sits there and asks what they're going to do with it. The frame is method acting scaled to middle school: the goal isn't to perform the emotion convincingly, it's to actually feel it for the length of the scene and come back out.
Browse the library, print the script pages, and run it next class. Track which scripts each of your classes has done, and see which territories you haven't worked yet.
The Script Library
- Browse Scripts By emotional territory — pick what your class needs this week
- Session Protocol Two-page guide to how a Studio 13 session runs end to end
- Session Protocol (PDF) Printable version of the protocol
Each script comes with a printable Fire Keeper Sheet — discussion sparks, the undertow underneath the scene, and provocations to use after the lead role passes from one student to the next. Find it at the bottom of any script page, or download it as a PDF from the same place.
